A fascinating digital art company — OUCHHH
OUCHHH is a creative new media company that is dedicated to integrating data science, digital art, and technology from Turkey. This company evolved its business and artworks from visual design and motion design to data and AI-based design. Besides, in 2019, they achieved one of their milestones by generating the world’s first AI astronomical research data sculpture public artwork — DATA GATE.
I first saw OUCHHH’s artwork at Nuit Balanche Taipei, a global art festival, by their collaboration of displaying AI Data Monolith. That night, after staying at my friend’s booth at the creative market, I walked around and examined the exhibition. I passed by a heavily crowded area with a bunch of people while a mega-square digital device just started showing an abstract-stylish motion art. This astonishing creation surprisingly made me stop. A piece of art stopped me in my tracks. After doing research, I realize that the backbone of such a remarkable work is based on the world’s oldest data by using the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN) and Ai algorithms.
This creative agency literally opened my eye to the dimension of digital media. Their style is more technological and more futuristic when compared with the other aesthetic oriented ones. Furthermore, their achievements in synthesizing data, AI, and design lead me to one of the directions in my digital media career, which can be anticipated and practised in the long-term future.
