Abstract Art, also be known as nonobjective art or nonrepresentational art, is one of the significant art trends. Such a style consists of shape, form, colour and line to create its own visual language, which simplifies the visible reality into a distinguishing presence.
The concept of abstract art can be traced back to the 19th century, which was influenced by the three movements of Romanticism, Impressionism and Expressionism. Some renowned artists, the renowned abstract artists In this period of time are Georgia O’Keeffe, Wassily Kandinsky, and Wassily Kandinsky.

Having searched the approaches to create abstract artifacts, I found some interesting methods and useful steps, including:
- Move your canvas to the floor
- Clear your mind
- Splatter or drip paint onto the canvas
- Create a textured background
- Use a ruler or tape to create lines and shapes
- mix the paint colours

- Have a focal point

However, in my opinion, being able to transfer one’s feelings or thoughts into a visual language, or being able to simplify the image you love into a meaningful, aesthetic, and resonant artwork are more important than the methods being adopted.
Personally, I think this art format likely resonates at an intimate level with human beings because it simplifies the complex scenes or strokes into symbols that can link to human’s shared ancient memories in the subconscious.
