I am going to share a website/product that amazed me these days — eko.
Back yesterday, when I arrived home and considered preparing something for today’s lesson, I was receiving a notification from Canvas. I opened the page and clicked some links to Jason’s unfinished course content. Afterwards, I clicked on one of the links https://eko.com/ randomly. First, I was like, ‘Okay, it is a video, something like Youtube’ and felt it is boring. However, after a few seconds, three buttons jumped out and provided me with an inkling to select one from those. Following that, the plot will move on with the one I picked.
Another astonishing point is that when I explored other videos, there are abundant videos related to life-skills and tutorials. It comprises travel methods, cooking tutorials, love stories, and approximately everything you can find on Youtube, which is all made in this unique format with differentiating plots and development. We can clarify that such an intelligent idea applies the ‘Gamination’ strategy to videos, which invariably catch the audience’s eye.
I was so overwhelmed by this innovative, interactive, and intuitive approach with its UX design. Furthermore, by the inspiration from this application and strategy, I gained more excitement and amusement to anticipate the infinite possibilities and potentials on development and combination between websites, apps or games. It is so lovely. 😁
