“Nuit Balanche” — a sleepless night
Last Saturday and Sunday, the annual art festival “Nuit Balanche” (sleepless night, https://www.nuitblanchetaipei.info/) was held near Nangang MRT station in Taiwan, which is a worldwide art festival. This overnight festival comprised various types of artworks, including visual Art Work, art performance, interdisciplinary, and special events.
Before visiting the exhibitions, I didn’t have much expectation for this event because it did not display the afflatus well in the previous two years. This time, when I walked around the area, such an art exhibit offered me full immersion into its atmosphere with interesting formats. There were some impressive formulation and integration presentations in the field, especially in art, music art, digital art, and art performance. One of these artistic productions — Girls Notes by Su Pin-Wen.
It was around 3.30 am when my friend could finally close her exhibit booth. We walked with an exhausted shuffle to the taxi station and desired to get a good sleep at home. However, suddenly, my friend mentioned a show — Girl’s Notes, which is performed at 4 AM by an internationally acclaimed dancer from Taiwan. (https://www.nuitblanchetaipei.info/artwork/single?id=93). At 4 AM, we decided to watch her performance and experienced an extraordinary story, a performance of her thoughts through movement.
In this acting art show, Su Pin-Wen used her aesthetic and expressive body language to express the constraints of the female. During the whole performance, she had held a book called ’The history of beauty’ on her head to imply the hardness of women’s lives, which made her dance resemble an intriguing and thought-provoking stage play. Furthermore, we can clearly observe that the audience was attracted to her facial mimicry and subtle actions. resemble an intriguing/thought-provoking stage play/keep verbs in the past if you start in the past to narrate an event/facial mimicry
On the way home, my friend and I felt overjoyed and satisfied with Nuit Balanche this year. We felt content with plenty of visual stimulations and anticipated a better exhibition that can be generated for next year.
