The note of UX Marathon: Navigation, Search and Filters

Below is my personal notes from the video, summaries for you all and feel free to share it! 😃

  1. Always stay the Nav bar available for users

2. The comparison of setting the categories.

a) Top Tabs (For related pages)

b) Nav Drawer (for secondary items which may unrelated)

c) Bottom Nav (For top-level, frequent switching and equal important items)

3. Add text labels with icons to make users easily recognize

4. Filter settings

Try to avoid drop-downs

One of the important suggestion is: To show the chosen items with the “apply” button, such as “ Apply (6) ”.

Show the product reviews by social proof is increasing credibility.

Avoid infinite scrolling, which represents 0 user control.
